Neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive talking therapy, available online anywhere in the UK.

About me

Hi there, I’m Aimee (she/they). I’m a BACP-registered integrative psychotherapist based in south London. My work is all about building collaborative relationships with my clients, walking beside them as they navigate life’s questions and obstacles.

I currently work both in-person and online. I offer 50 minute sessions for a fee of £70 per session. If you are interested in working together, I offer a 30 minute free consultation to see if we are a good fit for each other.

I am also a writer. I began training as a counsellor and psychotherapist in 2018 following a career in music and culture journalism. I am currently working on my first book, which is about empathy and neurodivergence. For literary enquires, please contact my agent Milly Reilly: milly@colwillandpeddle.com

My way of working

To me, the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship.

I draw from several schools of talking therapy – person-centred, psychodynamic, and existentialist – while always prioritising collaborative, reparative relationships

As a neurodivergent therapist, I am informed by the principles of the neurodiversity and disability justice movements.

I am also queer, and my practice is explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming of all gender identities.

I strive to work from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive standpoint.

My qualifications and experience

I have a postgraduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London and a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills from City Lit. I have experience working with both adults and under-18s in low cost and free counselling services in the boroughs of Lambeth and Croydon. I also have four years’ experience as a crisis helpline counsellor.

I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of issues and life changes, including:

  • Health and neurodiversity diagnostic processes, and navigating neurodivergent and disabled identities
  • Exploring and expanding gender identities and sexualities
  • Remembering and reliving traumatic incidents from the past
  • Grappling with the impact of childhood experiences on the present day
  • Recovering from experiences of violence, betrayal or coercive control
  • Struggling to regulate emotions and/or to change behaviour
  • Searching for meaning and making sense of life’s big questions
  • The ebbs and flows of relationships, romantic and otherwise

I am a registered member of the BACP, and abide by their ethical framework. I am insured by Holistic
